Counselling and therapy for anxiety
Anxiety is a feeling of worry, fear and unease. Everyone can feel anxious from time to time. It’s a normal emotion and the body’s natural response to danger. It’s meant as a signal for us to protect ourselves, to fight-or-flight.
Nowadays there are not many situations where we experience real life-threatening dangers. However, some of us might still feel anxious in certain social situations or emotionally charged situations. Others might feel anxious in everyday situations, at work or in school.
Find balance and peace
Fear and anxiety in moderation are not a bad thing. It can actually help us focus better and stay alert. However when anxiety starts to interfere with your day-to-day life, it can make you suffer. When the feeling of anxiety causes so much distress that it starts inferring with your ability to lead a normal life, we talk about an anxiety disorder.
I can help you understand your feelings of anxiety. We will look at which (negative) thoughts and patterns fuel your anxiety and look at your lifestyle.
Together we will bring your life back into balance, help you find more peace, so that you can find your way back to your authentic self.
